Agency as a Vector
Definition
The framing of agency not as a personality trait, mindset, or self-help slogan but as a vector with two components: direction (purpose, vision, ideals) and magnitude (energy, ambition, drive). Magnitude without direction disperses into heat; direction without magnitude goes nowhere. Only the combination produces movement, and when two high-agency vectors meet they compound rather than cancel. Agency is also environmental: the surrounding substrate of incentives determines how much room a vector has to move.
